Under federal law certain black powder weapons are considered antiques and are not firearms thereform not prohibited.May an ex-felon possess black powder weapons in california?
It appears that California accepts the federal ';antique firearm'; definition only for licensing purposes. (See Pen C 12001, subd. (e).) An antque firearm would thus still be a firearm, possession of which by a felon is prohibited. (Pen C 12021.)
