Turn A Herb In To A Concintrated Powder?

Is It Possible To Turn A Herb Into A Powder That Will Dissolve Into Water Clearly? Or Any Way To Consintrate It Into A Dry Form. By This I Dont Mean Tinctures ( I Can Desolve It Into Everclear 190proof But I Hate The Teaste Of Alcohol) Can Any One Share Some Knowledge?Turn A Herb In To A Concintrated Powder?
You can extract chemicals from herbs. Alcohol is one of the best solvents used. They typically extract that sort of material in a particular type of distillation unit and then evaporate the alcohol. You would be left with a concentrate minus the alcohol. it can be dangerous because some chemicals in herbs are toxic and you are concentrating them. Dry powder is mostly plant material but if the herb is fairly concentrated, you could just dry it on very low heat and grind it into a powder. Tinctures usually just stabilize the compound. it probably isn't doing anything else. i would just dry it and powderize the herb like oregano.
