Whats a good recipe using shrimp thats easy and uses curry powder?
Here's one
CURRIED SHRIMP STEW
4 tbsp. butter
1 c. finely chopped onion
1 tsp. minced garlic
2 tsp. curry powder
2 lbs. shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 cans (1 lb. size) tomatoes, broken up
1 tsp. salt
3/4 tsp. thyme leaves, crushed
Dash ground red pepper
2 tbsp. lemon juice
In large skillet, melt butter, add onion and garlic and saute, stirring until golden, about 5 minutes.
Add curry powder and saute for 1 minute. Mix in shrimp, tomatoes, salt, thyme, red pepper and lemon juice. Heat to boiling, cover, reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally until shrimp turn pink, about 5 to 8 minutes.
Serve from top of chafing dish placed over warming pan filled with hot water on the table. Serve over hot, cooked rice. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
i dredge the shrimp in the curry powder.
cook a package of noodles til they are el dente.set aside have cut and ready a few slices of onion, a few slices of green or red or both peppers, a stalk of celery sliced thin across the thing on an angle, and perhaps a few snow peas.
heat a fry pan or wok til it fairly hot put in a little oil toss in the onion and celery fry for a few minutes . then add all the rest of the veggies and fry for two more minutes move the veggies to the side of the pan and add the shrimp.cook til they start to turn red then turn them and count to fifty ( count fairly fast ) toss in the flavour packet and a bit of water or white wine %26amp; too then the noodles and toss serve and eat while still hot..
