Only if your flour is self rising. Without the baking powder your biscuits will be like hockey pucks. Is there a way I can make homemade biscuits without baking powder?
Sift flour, baking powder and salt.

Cut in butter

Ad milk a little at a time, mixing until it becomes dough

Sprinkle a little flour on board (a board large enough to roll biscuit dough on)

Knead the dough

Roll dough 1/2 inch

Cut with biscuit cutter (I use a round jar top as a substitute) and place on cookie sheet

Preheat oven 400 degrees and bake for 10-15 minutes or until brown

If you have baking soda you can make buttermilk biscuits. If you don't have buttermilk you can use reg milk and add a little vinegar or lemon juice (to the milk) to make a buttermilk substitute.
there are recipes for biscuits with yeast instead of baking powder out there, they are light and fluffy, recipes are all over the internet, give them a try, they are really good
if you have plain chocolate and bicarbonate of soda, you can make choc chip cookies.
