i have heard of people feeding milk products to birds but i bet it is not a good idea. since birds don't feed their young milk ,it is possible they don't possess the enzymes necessary to digest it. they might be lactose intolerant .Can you feed Enfamil baby powder to a 16 yr old cockatiel that is laying eggs?
Absolutely not!! Just make sure she has plenty of cuttle bone, a good variety of veggies and leafy greens other than spinach. Fix her scrambled eggs, cooked brown rice and other safe foods. She can also have some of the baby bird formula from the pet store. Kaytee Exact is a good one. Mix a very small amount with warm water, to about the consistency of oatmeal. Don't leave it out more than a couple hours as it quickly grows bacteria.
